Engagement Peak Season: To have a savvy wedding, you need savvy planning
The Knot is one of the leading wedding planning websites for a bride to be, and when the company reached out to me about information to list my vineyard I was thrilled, but my thrill was short lived and turned into panic, anxiety and it was clear to me I needed counseling after our lengthy conversation. My panic was not because of yearning to become a bride. I am quite the opposite, I am that girl at the wedding who hears the bouquet toss announcement and runs to hide behind the bushes or I feel the need to hide in the bathroom just to avoid the cheering from the guest to get in a huddle to fight over some flowers in hopes of sealing my fate. I would not say I'm not the marrying type. I'm more of a ride or die chick.
Since I have labeled myself with the grand title of “Ride or Die” you can see why I panicked when the Knot came at me with their guns a blazing questions. It made me realize I had no clue, nor respect for how much preparation a bride puts into her big day. She has dreamed of her engagement moment for most of her life and now the day has come and he or she pops the question… it is Game On!
The Knot is a great company and the company takes pride in gathering resourceful information and details from companies to help eliminate some of the guess work a couple may ask most vendors and venues. They don’t want to leave any room for error for the bride or any bad reviews for the companies they use on the Knot website. They are brilliant in educating vendors on how to be successful at hosting weddings and customer service is always there to answer any questions. It's all by appointment so your conversation is not a conversation with time constraints.
While talking to my customer service representative I had a light bulb moment and became aware of Engagement Peak Season. Engagement Peak Season begins on Thanksgiving day and runs through Valentine's day. Now I am a college basketball fan and I am not saying men have an agenda but Engagement Peak Season starts around the same time as college basketball and ends right before tournament time. Ladies, do you see where I am going with this???
Engagement Peak Season is a beautiful thing, it means love is in the air and it brings hope for a new beginning.
