This Weeks Great 8 Articles

I'm not a die-hard YouTuber nor am I a social media junkie but I am an online article reader. I have been a Yahoo and Google news scroller for years. This week I thought I would share a few articles I thought were either, informative or "Wait...What?".

Being a blogger I always click on articles about SEO's, Traffic or Increase Income from Affiliate Marketing which leads me to my first article from The JK Blog, "How I Made 6-Figures in Affiliate Marketing in a Year" by Jenna Kutcher

1. “If you find yourself always telling others about things you love, then basically marketing was made for you! With it, you’d b“A lot of people do affiliate marketing as a sort of side hustle or as a way to bring in additional income, but I also know some people who make a great living doing this. The opportunities are endless and if you’ve never been sure about what you want to create to sell or you don’t feel like developing a brand new product or trying to break into a saturated market but you truly love something, then affiliate marketing could be a great opportunity for you.” - Jenna Kutchner

She's a Bad Ass! I was raised on a farm and I still work on it to this day. I am always fearful of running into a Bobcat, it's the reason I have a rifle. When I read this article I was in Awe over this woman who grabs a juvenile mountain lion with her hands.

2. “On Jan. 30, when the woman's own pup became entangled with what she thought was another dog outside her home in Mackay, Idaho, she pulled the two apart, according to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. As she glanced at the other animal, she realized it was actually a juvenile mountain lion.” Source: ABC News

I'm a firm believer when it comes to eating and a lifestyle choice, that Mediterranean is the way to go. Several years ago, I slowly started a Mediterranean diet. And, if you are not a huge meat eater but have an occasional taste for beef then this dietary pyramid is for you. So when I came across this article I had to share it.

3. “Seafood lovers, get ready to practice your culinary skills on the Mediterranean diet because you get to eat fish and seafood at least twice a week. Other protein sources such as cheese, chicken, eggs, and yogurt are also ok, but in moderation. And red meat should only make an occasional appearance at the dinner table. Lean proteins can also come from plant-based sources (i.e., quinoa, faro, beans, legumes, nuts, seeds)…choosing such options can promote additional benefits like weight management.” Source: 10 Things You Should Know Before Starting A Mediterranean Diet

If you are an emoji fan you would have felt a little embarrassed or thought this announcement was a little heartless. Media Outlets published the new emoji release and it's a huge defeat for men.

4. “Great news! We’re finally getting an emoji that’s perfect for easily humiliating men when they’re being disgusting online or, you know, being men: the small dick emoji. Officially named “pinching hand,” the emoji has been approved by the Unicode Consortium for release across major platforms this year. “

Wine Please! Last week, I checked a barrel of my white wine I had made last summer. I kept my eye on this particular barrel periodically, but this time I was disappointed. I had to dump 60 gallons of wine due to spoilage. The temperature had elevated which caused oxygen levels to rise in the barrel. Luckily, the other barrels are fine because they were stored in a different area.

5. “According to conventional wisdom, wine develops most harmoniously if stored in this temperature range with little or no fluctuation. So, for example, an excellent storage temperature would be 55°F with a fluctuation of plus or minus one degree. A well-known wine personality and executive from Burgundy told me recently that the ideal temperature for wine storage is 13°C which is equivalent to about 55°F. Degrees (°) C refers to the Celsius temperature scale on which water freezes at 0°C and boils at 100°C. This scale is used throughout Europe and most of the world.” Source: Wine Perspective

This one is always an interesting topic because our personality is influenced by so much. Most of the time our personality will change by the age of 30 and can easily be influenced by the opposite sex.

6. “No two people are wired the same. Maybe your S.O. needs to hash out every. single. detail. of an argument, while you just want to go for a walk to clear your head. Or your bestie loves to drag you along as she flits from one networking event to the next—but you’d much rather binge-watch Glow from the comfort of your couch. And is your sister always the first to try the new boutique fitness studio opening in her neighborhood, while you stick to your trusty Soul Cycle? In the 1940s, mother-daughter team Isabel Briggs-Myers and Katharine Briggs worked to create a system to explain these differences in the ways people think, feel, and behave.” Source: Well + Good

Hint: it is the human body's largest organ and takes a lot of abuse.

6. “Skin is more than a fleshy surface for pimples, tattoos, and wrinkles. Skin is the body's largest organ, and along with hair, nails, glands, and nerves, is part of the integumentary system, according to Oregon State University. This system acts as a protective barrier between the outside and the inside of the body. In adults, skin accounts for about 16 percent of total body weight and covers a surface area of approximately 22 square feet (2 square meters). There are different thicknesses and textures of skin on different parts of the body. For example, skin is paper-thin underneath the eyes, but is thick on the soles of the feet and palms of the hand, according to the Johns Hopkins Medicine Health Library.” Source: Live Science

They are just so precious…Millennials. Over and over we hear the struggles of the Millennials, the heartache of Millennials, the anxiety Millennials have due to????, The need for instant gratification…Millennials. Therefore, it seemed evident with all the struggles a Millennial has to face because of ???. It was a Must for me to read about the struggles of an older Millenial.

8. “I am 35 years old—the oldest millennial, the first millennial—and for a decade now, I’ve been waiting for adulthood to kick in. My rent consumes nearly half my income, I haven’t had a steady job since Pluto was a planet and my savings are dwindling faster than the ice caps the baby boomers melted. We’ve all heard the statistics. More millennials live with their parents than with roommates. We are delaying partner-marrying and house-buying and kid-having for longer than any previous generation.” Source: Highline
