The Modern Cleopatra

History repeats itself and it may repeat itself in a different form. Cleopatra VII ruled ancient Egypt and is considered the most beautiful woman in ancient history. She used her sex appeal as a political weapon, her beauty was desired and she was favored by many. Cleopatra positioned herself with people of influence to get ahead which included dehumanizing men to get to the throne. Her intrusive behavior towards allies created many enemies and her persuasion over men led to carnage. The queen had love affairs and married Mark Antony to protect her crown. Cleopatra never looked at the needs of others nor the Disadvantaged. She became the last in a dynasty of Macedonian rulers founded by Ptolemy.

I was lonely, desperate, and angry. At that moment, I truly understood what it meant to be a Saudi woman. It meant being confronted with every possible kind
of obstacle and discrimination. It meant being told that if you want to race with men, you’d have to do it with your hands and legs cut off.
I started to wish I had been born somewhere—anywhere—else.

Feminist in America Do Not Wish to Live Somewhere-Anywhere-Else

Now it is 2019 and as Childish Gambino jerked and gyrated in his video to the lyrics of his song, This is America and there is no other place an American feminist would rather be. The Feminist movement is all the rage. Who are the women and feminist men representing and what is their demographic? I'm not a feminist because I don't believe in what the feminist movement represents in the United States. They only support their own agenda. The movement does not support civil rights for all cultures and religions, such as Muslim women, they never support equality agendas for all women of color and wages nor do they support men's rights but want men to agree and support their rights for equality. They preach an extraordinary chant but let someone rebuke their movement. They become a modern day Cleopatra. Feminist marches consist of white women chanting about their unfair treatment and disapproval of men and especially, a white man's privilege. Some may feel it is the pot calling the kettle black. However, white men are not privileged they have supremacy. I am not referring to supremacy by the definition in today's culture which implies racism but by its true definition and the order of hierarchy. Most would agree, we never see feminist marching for the low-income single minority moms who seriously have a disadvantage in society. A society that has taught her not to work or marry in order to survive and now she has put her child at a disadvantage. Today's feminist's march is more of an offline Instagram parade. Most feminist women know how to manipulate the system and use their vagina as a weapon to be heard. It's the reason for so many articles on sexualization, a vagina and white women posing in ads because white women are favored. A favored group of women with a plan to rise to the top is an agenda it is not a feminist movement.

Now many women say “they hate men”, and most of the women are feminist. They are the same women who may have a father, brother, uncle or son. The same women who hold up signs that read…Not Because You Have A Mother, Sister, Daughter. Because She Is A Person. And by science, biology, and by definition so are men. A woman's hatred towards men may stem from many internal thoughts. She may have had a few men who rejected her or she had a bad experience with a man. A woman's hatred towards men has nothing to do with unequal pay or her civil rights as a woman.

Many feminist probably have never entered a low-income neighborhood where a woman's struggle is real. Today's feminist stay in areas where they are protected and heard. The majority are middle to upper-class women who are privileged and will continue to have privilege because they are favored and desired by men. As a result, a privileged feminist is very aware she can rant & rave about #Metoo, complain about toxic Masculinity and so forth and do it in peace. Who is going to stop her? There are many minority feminists too. But Black women, Latino women, and other cultures have to truly work and fight to get support from men and their voices are barely heard nor is there a rally or feminist march on their behalf. These women have been oppressed and looked down upon in society. They have never had the pleasure of being put on a pedestal and most of the misrepresented women have had to fight to keep their children alive or go the distance alone to achieve personal success because they, including myself, do not receive an even amount of support from society nor from the men we know. Many privileged women will say that it is not their fault. Don't blame me for ”my ancestor's” behavior. However, the issue is not with your ancestors. The issue Is with you and how privileged so-called “feminist” continue to allow injustice towards other women, radical behavior from their feminist peers and an unjust behavior towards truly good men. There are much bigger and deeper issues than a celebration for seeing a minority LGBT actress in a movie and a gender pay gap.

“privileged feminists should not repress men”

I don't despise privileged feminist nor blog about this because I'm angry or whatever reason someone can dream up. I didn't realize how closed minded I had become or how I had been affected by repeated subliminal images until I started to pay close attention to my social media feed, videos, talk shows, and magazines, etc, as to what I was buying into. I bought into a system that tells my peers and me; All women have a disadvantage and men and women are treated as equals on paper. The reality and treatment I have seen in a digital media-driven society reminds us every day that support and desire are for white women as opposed to other women in the world and men. Privileged Feminists should not repress men but should applaud men for their re-creation of the Cleopatra's of today.
